FINAL FANTASY IX

Reis' Wind: One of Freya Crescent's abilities is called "Reis's Wind." It casts Regen on the entire party.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS ADVANCE

Carrot: Mission 095 (Carrot!) is a quest to recover a Mrs. Nanabu's pet marlboro. It is nearly identical to a quest in the original Final Fantasy Tactics in which the player must hunt down a marlboro named Carrot who belongs to a Countess Zalmesse.

Silverlock: Mission 082 (Free Muscadet!) features a battle against three combatants: Silverlock (a bangaa ark knight) and his companions Celia and Redy (two viera assassins). This is a clear nod to the Marquis Elmdor, Celia, and Lede from the original Final Fantasy Tactics.

Tingel: Mission 179 (Scarface) opens with the following flavor text: "My face was cut in a duel that I recklessly started. I wish to keep the scar as penance, but how do I keep it from healing? ~Tingel, Knight ." "Tingel" is likely a reference to the family by that name in the original Final Fantasy Tactics.

VAGRANT STORY

Gems: The gems availble in the game include Altema (Description: "Garnet containing Altema the Fallen's spirit. Increases power against evil enemies."), Beowulf "Armandine holding Beowulf the Great's hair. Increases power against phantoms."), and Orlandu ("Actonite containing a fragment of Orlandu's skeleton. Increases power against humans."). There is also a gem called Balvus ("Chiastrite containing the ashes of Balvus. Increases power against undead.") that appears to be a reference to Balbanes.
