CHAPTER I: BATTLE AT FORT ZEAKDEN
[Zalbag, Algus, and the Hokuten stand before a snow-covered fortress. On a little bridge to leading to its central keep, Golagros holds Teta before him. He grabs her by the hair.]
GOLAGROS: Get out of here now! What if something happens to her? And don't do anything funny! There's tons of powder inside the fort! More than enough to blow all of you to hell and back! Got it? Then, get out!
ZALBAG: The Hokuten will never be threatened by you!!
[Ramza and Delita come running onto the scene from behind the fortress. It is unclear if their presence is noticed.]
RAMZA: Brother! Algus!!
[Delita looks above him and sees Teta captive.]
DELITA: Teta!!
[Teta lunges to the side of the bridge to speak. Golagros catches her.]
TETA: Delita!!
GOLAGROS: Get out! Now!!
ZALBAG: Go on, do it!
ALGUS: Yes, sir!
[Algus looses a crossbow bolt into Teta's chest. She slumps from Golagros' arms as he staggers back. The scene goes silent.]
GOLAGROS: What's this?
[Algus shoots a second bolt into Golagros. He falls.]
TETA: Delita...........
DELITA: Teta!!
[A male Hokuten knight arrives on the scene. He addresses Zalbag, who turns to him.]
HOKUTEN KNIGHT: General Zalbag, more enemies are on the mountain path! There are about 50 of them. I've been informed one of them resembles Wiegraf!
ZALBAG: Alright, I'll be right there. Take care of the rest, Algus.
[He and the knight both leave.]
GOLAGROS: D...damn it!
[He pushes himself into the fortress, and the door shuts.]
DELITA: Teta!
[He starts to move towards Algus.]
ALGUS: Where are you going?
DELITA: Algus! You bastard!!
ALGUS: You want to fight? Fine then, let's go!
RAMZA: Brother...why...Teta...?
ALGUS: C'mon! Animals are animals! I'll prove it to you!!
[He whistles. Additional troops appear.]
[BATTLE BEGINS]
RAMZA: Why, why are you doing this? Algus, why!?
ALGUS: It's your brother's orders. Please don't ask why. Besides, would you sacrifice the Hokuten pride, all for a common girl!?
RAMZA: Teta is Delita's sister!!
ALGUS: It's about time you learned about 'difference'! Different birth, totally different life! It's fate! Neither should've been here! Should've been flower sellers somewhere!
ALGUS: And what about you, Ramza? Why are you arguing with me? You're a traitor to Hokuten!
