CHAPTER II: BATTLE IN THE SLUMS OF GOUG
[Ramza and Mustadio enter Goug as the sun begins to set. The streets are crowded with citizens.]
MUSTADIO: I don't see anyone from Bart Company. It doesn't even look like there was a fight... Something's strange... I'll check it out. See you later.
[He turns to Ramza.]
MUSTADIO: I'll check it out. See you later.
RAMZA: Where?
[He turns to look off into the distance, crossing his arms. Ramza turns as well.]
MUSTADIO: The slums over there...they shouldn't attract attention.
[The two men face one another.]
RAMZA: All right. Be careful.
MUSTADIO: Right. Leave it to me.
[Ramza will have the ability to shop and look to tavern rumors in Goug. Once he attempts to leave, however, the game will progress to the battle.]
[Ramza arrives in the slums of Goug. He looks around but does not find anybody.]
RAMZA: He's late... Too late.
[It begins to rain. Ramza stretches out a hand to catch the drops.]
RAMZA: Think Mustadio was caught?
MAN'S VOICE: Are you his friend?
[Ramza turns.]
RAMZA: Who are you?
[A man and two mercenaries walk along the roofs of the settlement towards him.]
ILL-LOOKING MAN: Bring him!
[Another mercenary appears, pushing Mustadio before him. Mustadio falls to his knees.]
MUSTADIO: S...Sorry, Ramza.
RAMZA: Are you OK, Mustadio!!?
[Ramza steps forward.]
MAN: That's far enough. Don't move any closer!
[Ramza backs off.]
RAMZA: So, you're Rudvich!! Let Mustadio go!!
RUDVICH: Give me the "Holy Stone". Then you can have him back.
[He turns to Mustadio.]
RUDVICH: C'mon! Where'd you hide it? Talk!
MUSTADIO: ...
RUDVICH: Won't talk, huh? Even after seeing this?
[Another mercenary appears, pushing a man with bound arms forward until he too stumbles. Mustadio turns to look at him.]
MUSTADIO: Father! Are you OK!?
BESRODIO: I'm...all right... Don't give him the 'Holy Stone'.
RUDVICH: Put him in there!
[The mercenary behind Besrodio shoves him through the cloth doorway of one of the buildings.]
RUDVICH: Ready to confess now?
[Mustadio turns to him and then lowers his head.]
MUSTADIO: Inside the chimney... at Ramza's feet...
RUDVICH: Well then, you pick it up! If you want to save his life!
[Ramza goes to the chimney in question and retrieves a yellow stone form behind it.]
RAMZA: This...?
[He returns to face Rudvich.]
RAMZA: Let them go!!
RUDVICH: First give me the stone!
RAMZA: Let them go, first!!
RUDVICH: Throw the stone! Then, we'll let them go!
[Ramza tosses Rudvich the stone. Mustadio runs towards him.]
RUDVICH: The Zodiac Stone! Finally we've got it! The Cardinal will be very pleased!
[He turns away.]
RUDVICH: Good job. I'm done now. You take care of the rest. Get rid of them!
[He leaves.]
RAMZA: Draclau was in on it, too?
[BATTLE BEGINS]
[BATTLE ENDS]
MUSTADIO: Will my father be all right?

RAMZA: Where?
