CHAPTER II: THE LION WAR OUTBREAK
『The Lion War Outbreak: Delita and Ovelia appeared at Zeltennia Castle. Delita framed Gelwan with the kidnapping and advised the march on Lesalia led by the Nanten. Larg prepared for the attack by mobilizing the Hokuten. This was the beginning of 'The Lion War', which would eventually split the kingdom in two... 』
[In Zeltennia Castle, Delita approaches Duke Goltana, kneeling. Four noblemen surround them.]GOLTANA: It's you...who saved Ovelia.
DELITA: Delita— Black Sheep knight under Baron Grims, and Hyral. I was sent by order of Baron Grims to save the Princess. I've returned— Mission completed.
MINISTER GELWAN: ....Hyral? Never heard of him.
GOLTANA: The Baron died in battle last month with the Ryomoku. The Black Sheep were entirely wiped out.
DELITA: That's why I returned.
GOLTANA: How's the Princess?
[One of the men of court, a man in bishop's robes, turns to Goltana.]
KANBABRIF: Sleeping soundly, she's exhausted from the long trip.
ORLANDU: I heard you brought a prisoner?
[Delita turns to look behind him as Kanabrif turns to look at Delita.]
DELITA: Yes, sir. Bring him!
[A knight leads a squire with bound hands towards Goltana. He kneels.]
DELITA: Why did you kidnap the Princess?
PRISONER: We framed Goltana to prevent him from Lesalia, ...taking the regency.
DELITA: Who gave you the order? Prince Larg?
PRISONER: One of Goltana's aids who wants to join Larg.
[Minister Gelwan runs forward.]
GELWAN: Ridiculous! No aids would do that! Silence this lout!
GOLTANA: No need. Listen.
DELITA: Who is that?
[The prisoner lowers his head.]
PRISONER: ......
DELITA: Talk! Now!
PRISONER: Will you save my life?
DELITA: All right, I promise. Who is it!!?
[He looks up.]
PRISONER: Him...Minister Gelwan.
[Gelwan draws nearer.]
GELWAN: How dare you! It's a lie! I don't even know you!
[He turns as Delita speaks.]
DELITA: Who seduced you? The Queen?
GELWAN: That's absurd! I don't know anything!
DELITA: Treason's a serious crime, Minister!
[Delita draws his sword. The men of court and the prisoner back away. Orlandu puts his hand on his weapon.]
GELWAN: I said I don't know a thing!
[Delita lunges at Gelwan, cutting him down.]
DELITA: Let me say this! We must go to the capital with the Nanten now! Or they may hold you responsible for this plot. First, let's remove Orinas and the Queen, then get the Princess on the throne!
[The scene fades out to an image of men at war.]
Goltana went to Lesalia, and confined Ruvelia in Bethla for kidnapping the Princess, and let the Princess accede to the throne.
But Larg insisted Orinas was the legitimate successor and had him accede to the throne. Then Larg became the regent as a guardian.
Immediately after, Larg sent the Hokuten led by Orinas to Bethla Garrison to rescue the Queen. Meanwhile, Goltana sent the Nanten led by Ovelia...
This was the beginning of the upheaval which would later be called the 'Lion War'.
