[Wiegraf lies, bloody and prone on the steps of Orbonne. A storm is brewing. Izlude, on chocoboback, Alma slung over the saddle, looks to where he lies.]IZLUDE: Are you OK? Wiegraf!!
WIEGRAF: Don't worry...about me... Just...go!
[Wiegraf collapses.]
RAMZA: Alma!!
WIEGRAF: Go....Izlude....
IZLUDE: Sorry, Wiegraf!!
[Izlude rides awazy with Alma while Ramza takes a few steps forward.]
RAMZA: Wait! Izlude!!
[There is a flash of lightning. Wiegraf convulses.]
WIEGRAF: Goho!
[He lifts his head.]
WIEGRAF: Damn....I can't die here. I can't face my dead allies without avenging Miluda... No....I don't want to die...
[His head sinks to the ground again and a blue stone falls from his belongings to the ground. It floats into the air.]
Holder of the Holy Stone... Promise me....
RAMZA: What....? The stone....spoke...?
Holder of the Holy Stone... Promise me.... Your spirit will unite with my flesh to live forever.
WIEGRAF: Is this the stone's secret?
Your despair and resentment called me... now promise...
RAMZA: No! Wiegraf!! Don't open that!!
WIEGRAF: Help.....me......
[More lightning cracks through the sky. The stone glows blue and releases a burst of magical energy.]
I am Velius... the devil. Your wish is granted.
[A gigantic, ramlike demon stands up where Wiegraf had fallen. It begins to rain.]
VELIUS: This is the stone's power!
RAMZA: Wiegraf......!
[Velius turns to him.]
VELIUS: Ramza, its power is magnificent! No, not just the power. Centuries of knowledge ingrained into my brain.
[Ramza draws his sword.]
VELIUS: Hya, ha...easy...save some for later....!
[Another flash of lightning.]
VELIUS: Hya, ha...superb...Superb power.......!
[Velius vanishes. Shortly afterwards, Simon opens the door of the monestary and stumbles outside. He collapses in Ramza's arms.]
RAMZA: Simon! Can you hear me...?
SIMON: H, here...
[He hands Ramza a book.]
RAMZA: What is this book?
SIMON: Germonik, a disciple of St. Ajora wrote it... It had been missing...till I found it in the underground library.... It explains in detail about the Zodiac Brave Story...
RAMZA: Please don't try to talk!
SIMON: That's all right..... I'm a sinner...I knew of the church's wrongdoing... but said nothing... You can bring them to justice with this book! You can bring Alma back with this book...
RAMZA: Simon!!
[He collapses against him.]
