CHAPTER III: FIRST MEETING WITH OLAN



『First meeting with Olan: On the way to Lesalia, a young man named Olan Durai was saved from an attack by thieves. He gave a strange reaction to your name Ramza Beoulve. Olan declined to join the party, and left saying you would meet again.』



[Olan and Ramza speak to one another in the wake of the battle at Goland.]

RAMZA: Are you all right?

OLAN: Thank you for saving me. My name is Olan Durai. What's yours?

RAMZA: Ramza Beoulve.

[Olan is taken aback.]

OLAN: !!

RAMZA: Is something wrong?

[Olan shrugs and raises his hands.]

OLAN: Oh, nothing. Never mind. Where are you going anyway?

RAMZA: To Lesalia. If you're going that way we could go along.

OLAN: Too bad, I'm going the other way. Thanks for the offer.

RAMZA: Well, be careful.

OLAN: You too.

[He extends his hand. Ramza hesitates a moment and then takes it. As Olan begins to leave, he turns back to Ramza.]

OLAN: I'll see you later. Stay alive, till then.

RAMZA: Oh, uh, yeah...

[Olan departs.]
